The old Montem Ice Arena has been stripped back to the original steel and completely rebuilt with a 1000m2 extension fronting the Bath Road.

New facilities include a fully refurbished ice rink, café, climbing wall, gym, party zone and changing facilities. The Ice Arena is home to the Slough Jets ice hockey team and many community groups participating in ice-based sports.

Refurbishment and extension of the Ice Arena

The refurbishment and extension works were undertaken by Slough Urban Renewal (SUR), which is driving regeneration across the town including leisure, housing, community and school buildings. The refurbished ice arena and new extension add an extra 1,000m2 of space. The two-storey extension houses the new entrance, reception, café, gym and climbing wall with clip ‘n’ climb feature. The new facility is being managed by the council’s leisure provider EveryoneActive.
