Montem Lane is a proposed residential development of circa 200 homes located on the western edge of Slough Town Centre.

Prior to submitting a planning application later this year, SUR is looking to engage with the local community to explore local preferences and secure feedback on its plans for the former leisure centre.

The public consultation is now open for three weeks, inviting comments by Monday 10th August.

Slough Urban Renewal (SUR) is set to transform the Montem Lane site into a new collection of apartments and family houses – helping to meet the need for affordable, high quality homes within the borough. Having successfully completed the large scale refurbishment of The Centre in 2019, Slough’s new £18m leisure facility, SUR is now developing its plans to provide new homes and new community spaces on the former Montem Leisure Centre site.

The site forms part of the proposed Chalvey Regeneration Area. The proposed new scheme, which will comprise a collection of apartments and houses, is set to transform the wider site. In addition, SUR plans to deliver communal outside spaces for the benefit of the wider community, as well as rejuvenating the woodland area and the much neglected brook, which runs alongside the site.
