This development was made possible by SUR delivering the large-scale refurbishment of the Ice Arena and The Centre; the Council’s £18m flagship new leisure facility on Farnham Road.
The Montem Lane site forms part of the Chalvey Regeneration Area and is set to be transformed into a collection of new homes – helping to meet the need for affordable, high-quality homes within the borough.
The new development will comprise an assortment of apartments and houses plus communal outside spaces for the benefit of the wider community. The site will be rejuvenated with enhanced open spaces including a woodland area and Montem brook. Footpaths and cycle paths will also be enhanced to improve access through and from the surrounding neighbourhood, encouraging more active healthy lifestyles.
