SCHEME SECURES RESOLUTION TO GRANT PLANNING

Haymill Site
112 Burnham Lane, Slough, SL1 6LZ

Thank you to everyone who took part in online public exhibition event on the redevelopment of this land, which sits between Burnham Lane and Littlebrook Avenue.

We have now received a resolution to approve the planning application for a proposed collection of two, three and four-bedroom homes.

SUR is seeking to bring to life this small site to create a collection of high quality new homes and amenity space. The scheme is designed to meet local housing needs and to make better connections.

The proposed scheme comprises approximately 33 new family homes – a mixture of two, three and four-bedroom homes. All of the homes will comply with national space standards and offer a range of house types, suitable for both first time buyers, and those for established families.

The scheme will include a provision of affordable housing, to meet local needs - 30% of the homes here would be affordable.

The houses will each include two-three dedicated car parking spaces (dependent on house size) and some will include garages. All houses will come with parking, with most spaces located either alongside the home, or close by (and visible from the house).

Bike parking and storage will be provided and every house will have an electric vehicle charging point (EVCP)

The scheme will include a provision of central amenity space with new trees and planting.

There will be a new primary entrance from Littlebrook Avenue, to provide vehicular and pedestrian access to the site. A secondary entrance from Burnham Avenue will be created for pedestrians and cyclists, plus emergency vehicle access.

SUR's detailed plans are continuing to evolve, following inputs from technical specialists on ecology, trees, daylight/sunlight, noise, highways and transport to ensure that the most optimal development is taken forward for the site.
