Slough Urban Renewal is bringing further transformation to Slough with the start of its second residential development ‘Wexham Green’. This major project will transform the former Wexham Lane Nursery on Wexham Road into a residential community of 104 high quality family homes, built by Lovell.
The development has been carefully designed to embrace the leafy neighbourhood while providing new homes for aspirational families. Wexham Green will incorporate extensive landscaping to enhance its position next to the green belt and the Grade II listed ‘Wexham Lodge’.
Initial clearance and ground works are now beginning on site, with construction commencing in September to build a range of two, three and four bedroom detached and semi-detached new houses for sale in Slough, to be released in spring 2017.
The homes will be built to a high specification and will be available for private homes and affordable rent. Help to Buy will be also available to assist those keen to take their first step onto the housing ladder.
The start of Wexham Green follows within a year of the launch of ‘Milestone’, Slough Urban Renewal’s first residential development. Almost 50% of the homes at Milestone are now sold, following the launch of the show home last month.

Councillor Zaffar Ajaib, commissioner for neighbourhoods and renewal at Slough Borough Council, said: “The council is committed to providing new and affordable homes for local people, despite the challenging lack of space to build in the borough. We have built 264 new homes in the past year alone with 1,000 more are currently under construction, including the new homes at Milestone and at Castleview in Upton.
“The commencing of works at Wexham Green demonstrates the ongoing success of Slough’s regeneration partnership. It is exciting to see new homes being built in this part of the Borough and I look forward to seeing the finished homes.”
