Demolition starts to pave the way for new leisure centre

Community Projects  |

On the 9th February, heavy machinery began knocking down The Centre in Farnham Road, to clear the way for a new leisure centre. The building, which was built in 1997 and has been closed since November, will be replaced with a £26million leisure facility with a 25m swimming pool, sports hall, gym and exercise studios. The work is being undertaken by Slough Urban Renewal (SUR) – a joint partnership between Slough Borough Council and Morgan Sindall Investments Limited.
